Defining Myself
Even though I was abandoned by my "so-called" friends. I developed this keen ability to pick myself back up. After that experience, I found myself flocking to other "rejects." People who were too awkward or intimidating that nobody wants to approach them and if they do, aren't too polite.
But sometimes, even those individuals are judgmental and easily turned off by others. When that occurs, I find myself leaning toward individuals that are nerdy, gamers, scholarly, artsy, Catholic, or all of the above. Where I feel comfort with the former group of individuals, I am able to focus and engage in my passions with the latter group.
I like to consider the group above to be a mix of everything. (In order) Jenny, Manuel, Chelsea, myself and Andy are a group called "JANE" which stands for "judging and negativity ends now." We formed our group this quarter at the Newman Center of Catholic Ministry (NCCM)'s Fall Retreat. Our group will never die!
